Invited:  Minority, inclusive of women, subcontractors from throughout the state to discuss ways to improve relations, understand what’s required when bidding a job, how best to learn about upcoming jobs throughout the state and how to overall increase the number of minority subcontractors procuring construction jobs.

Sharnell Ladson of “”Helping the Underserved to Become Legendary Entrepreneurs and Leaders” (HUSTLE) will facilitate a workshop on building sustainable small business and building capital from ground zero. Premiere efforts will target our young men and women with special needs and circumstances, for example second chance candidates, non-violent offenders, first time offenders and ex-offender felons.

Joint effort between Myrtle Beach NAACP and Carolina African American Heritage Foundation, along with a coalition of area churches, civil rights organizations, gospel choirs, speakers and prayers, bringing awareness, information, education and empowerment to our citizens.  Our invited keynote speaker will speak on unifying our communities and cultures.

Corporate and Community Awards Breakfast

The Carolina African American Heritage Foundation, Inc. is hosting, along with The City of Myrtle Beach and Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce,  a Corporate & Community Awards Breakfast. During the breakfast, the Corporate and Community Awards Program will be held recognizing community persons for their outstanding contributions.

Guest speaker Chief Justice Jean Hoefer Toal of the South Carolina Supreme Court with special remarks from our King Day Parade Marshall’s, FCC, Commissioner Mignon Clyburn and Myrtle Beach Hall of Fame inductee retired former Chief Justice Finney.

Donations are $25.00 per person or $200 for a table of eight persons.

5th annual Martin Luther King, Jr. “Freedom Rally” Parade 

Parade Grand Marshalls will be Chief Justice Finney and FCC Commissioner Mignon Clyburn.
Parade starts at the Baseball Stadium South Parking lot (enter off of 21st ave), Parade begins by entering Grissom Parkway heading north to 21st Ave. Turning right, the parade then follows 21st Ave East to Carver Street, turns right, and winds down to review and ending at Mt.
